April Touchbase and Game Guide


Hey all, 

It's been a while since the last devlog/touchbase. First off, thank you all so much for your continued support of this project and all of the wonderful feedback you've given over the course of it. I just wanted to write this devlog to give you guys an idea of where the game is at and what I've been up to with it.

So I haven't had a whole lot of time this month to work on this since my IRL job changed my position and I've been working on getting into the swing of things with that, but I have managed to get a bit of work done on Day 3 for the different majors. So far Fighter and Mage have a decent chunk of the first half of the day completed. I've still got to finish the second half of the day for those two and write the full day for the other three majors.  I've also been correcting some of the bugs and errors that you guys have been reporting.

In the little bit of spare time I have had I've also made a guide for the first two days all the way up to the current version of the game so people can use that to achieve whatever goals they may have. Since there aren't specifically character routes, I've broken it down by the choices you can make depending on if you tell the truth or not and the various stats, affection, and flags the answers result in. It's more like a mix and match approach instead of a specific "true ending" kind of deal.

Also, I did recently update my Ren'py from version 7.3.5 to the newest 7.4.4, buuuuut it broke a lot of things since some of the changes made changed the way certain things are coded so I've been going through and trying to fix that to the best of my ability. At one point I got an error where the game wouldn't even go to the main menu when starting the game, but I've managed to make a work around until I can finally get an answer on the forums to some of the issues I've been having. Depending on if and what kind of errors I encounter moving forward it may put me behind where I was hoping to be with the update, but we'll see.

First of all thank you for making this guide, i have noticed that some affactionpoints are not distributed correctly, e.g. the choice "to free rides" also gives you 2 affection to Silas. Another is the entire chain for Reth:

the first values are the ones that i got in game and the others that i am supposed to get. Apperantly wehenever you are supposed to loose points here you gain them (play nice and going with Reth while having 100 or lower affection) and having 101 and higher affection doesn't give you affaction at all.

This is true for the PC and Android version of the game 

Thank you! Apparently I had the code messed up and was trying to add negative points which only actually added points. I'll update it and it will be fixed in the next version. As of right now, nothing bad happens if you have too many affection points so it just means you might get bonus dialog when you shouldn't have.

However, I have to add that the Maxium Charisma to enter "Silas No Ride" route is 10 (which means you cannot chose any charisma option), becasue as you lie to Silas, you gain addition 1 Charisma before the check.

(But it may be changed by now)

According to the code I have currently, the base number of Charisma you start with is 10 and if you have a charisma of 11 or lower you will not get the ride with Silas when you lie. So if you don't choose anything that gives you charisma prior to lying then you should still end up on the no ride route. I also downloaded the 0.1.2 version and just now tested it and it seems to work.


I have updated the guide with the extra Charisma point when choosing lie since I had forgotten to include it.
